Closing the book without a hinge
On iPhone and iPad, close the book by dragging the right page from its outer edge (by the coloured tabs) over to the spine. You can also tap the round paper fold button. On iPhone Duo, simply fold the phone.
The grown-ups corner
Tap the paper clip in the top-left corner and answer the grown-up question: tap the three numbers written in words on the keypad. Inside you will find sound and music, the bedtime timer, today’s play, the family account and Peekafold Pro.
Restore purchases
- Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase (Settings → your name → Media & Purchases).
- Open the grown-ups corner (the paper clip) and answer the grown-up question.
- In the Peekafold Pro section, tap Restore purchases.
You don’t need a family account to restore: purchases belong to your Apple Account.
Manage or cancel a subscription
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Peekafold, then change or cancel your plan. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
For refunds, Apple handles requests at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Delete the family account
Open the grown-ups corner, answer the grown-up question, then choose Family account → Delete account and confirm. The account and the progress saved online are deleted; what is on the device stays. To clear the device too, use Reset progress or delete the app.
Can’t reach the device? Write to support@peekafold.com from the account’s email address and we will delete it for you.
Notifications
Notifications are off until a grown-up turns on News about new books in the grown-ups corner. Turn it off there, or in iOS Settings → Notifications → Peekafold.
Reduce Motion
Peekafold follows the iOS Reduce Motion setting (Settings → Accessibility → Motion): springs and hops become gentle fades.
Common questions
Do I need an iPhone Duo?
No. Peekafold plays on every iPhone and iPad, in landscape. Without a hinge, your child closes the book by dragging the right page over the spine (or taps the paper fold button), and every game’s fold moment works the same way.
What ages is it for?
Ages 3 to 5: Peekafold is in the App Store’s Kids Category for 5 and under. Most of our readers can’t read yet, and that’s the point: there is no narrator and no instructions to read. Pictures, music, a ghost hint hand and Foldy’s pantomime show the way. A few big, bouncy words are there to enjoy, never required.
Are there ads or in-app tricks?
Never. No ads, no ad networks, no “watch a video to unlock”, no streaks, no countdowns. Purchases are only shown to grown-ups, behind the parental gate.
What data do you collect?
As a guest (the default) the app sends nothing on its own: no account, no analytics, no tracking, and your child’s name never leaves the device. If a grown-up chooses a family account, we store their email and the child’s stickers and pages so they sync. The privacy policy has every detail.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Every book works with no connection at all, so it’s ready for planes, car rides and waiting rooms.
What’s free, and what is Pro?
The 123 and Animal Friends books are free, every page, with no time limit. Peekafold Pro opens every other regular book on the shelf, now and in the future. Seasonal books (like a holiday book) are sold on their own and stay yours. Prices will be announced at launch.
Can my child buy something by accident?
No. Every purchase, setting and link out of the app sits behind a parental gate: a question with three numbers written as words, typed on a shuffled keypad. A mistake brings a new question.
When does it launch?
Soon. Join the waitlist and we’ll send exactly one email when Peekafold is on the App Store.
